Well, these aren't good. lol. A 1.6. I do clearly remember the Wednesday being *really* boring. It didn't have any of the A-storylines in it, and it kind of felt like filler. Only watched up until the credits and then turned it off. Edited by Yoryla, Sep 6 2014, 06:36 PM.

Happy to see GH bounce back. The Bristen reunion may bring people in, but knowing nothing will come of it makes it hard for people to want to stay. |

If these continue well into November sweeps then DOOL better get some new writers. The show was rather boring that week though. I think they will see a improvement next week. |

I'm just so happy that this is happening before the golden couple leave I forget to be sad about the state of Days.

The ratings are sucking bad...last week I was nervous over a 1.7 just to be greeted with a 1.6 this week! We may actually get new writers if shit doesn't build back up by the end of the year. Of course the end of the year thru March-ish usually is decent for Days. I just wish they could keep that type of momentum all year long as I don't want the show cancelled. It IS interesting how Alison Sweeney was all over tv recently about her book and her leaving Days but nobody extra seems to be tuning in to see the final months of Ejami and that's, IMO, hysterical |

It's a good thing that Days got a 2-year renewal this past year, instead of a 1-year renewal, or they'd be sweating bullets. They have some time to right the ship. But if the yearly pattern holds, Days will start seeing higher ratings next month and through the winter. But I anticipate that they will be in the negative each week compared to last year at this time. There has to be a sense of frustration at Days. I think they were surprised that the denouement of the Nick storyline in May didn't pop the ratings in the slightest. The same goes for the EJami implosion. In my opinion, those stories have been told pretty well. But for some reason, the audience just wasn't there. The same can be said, for the most part, about Kristen's return (although it's too early to judge altogether as the story is really only getting started and has two more months to play out). I just hope that TPTB don't look at the ratings and draw the conclusion that we need more Dannifer, not less. |

Just because the show was renewed for 2 years, that doesn't mean they can't be cancelled. I agree that they didn't get much of a bump from those stories or people showed interest and then tuned out. I think Days taping so far ahead hurts them. They try to keep things under wraps, but things always get out. It's not like GH where it's only a month or so. Its half a year. In that time if people don't like what they hear is going to happen, they begin to check out. Even if they like the news, they forget about it by the time it comes around or have moved on to something else. Freddie had tweeted that he was doing some great stuff, but we won't see it until Feb, with the lag. Going off what's happening now, its hard to get excited. Even if they got new writers, again it would take 6 months for their stories to be seen. |

She did it in late May/early June and even if people tuned back in for a day or two, the writing has been a horrific reminder of why most people left in the first place. Inconsistent characters, focus on the great tan one, re-writing what we saw just a couple of days, weeks, months before, etc. Can you imagine watching this Jennifer on screen if you hadn't been watching for the past few years? You would think the return of Emmy-winning ED, paired with the departure of AS & JS would give the writers some great material to work with. Unfortunately, the result has been very disappointing. |

Part of me feels that tptb don't care about exit stories. I can't remember the last really good one. I guess we should be glad they are getting one and not just going off to CA and not coming back like Bo did. |

The can't be cancelled during the span that they were renewed for. The only thing that can happen is that they might opt not not renew again |

Shows are cancelled midseason all the time. I'm not saying that it will happen, but if the markets want out, they can cancel the show. Look at the markets that move moved the show to different time slots. |

I'm not surprised at all with the Days ratings. I didn't watch that entire week. I got so bored with the Kristen and Daniel scenes, and all the other scenes that involved all the younger people. I'm not gonna waste my time watching that crap. Seems like others felt the same way!! |
